Nino Nakano

Nino Nakano | 5Toubun no Hanayome Wiki | FandomNino has an outgoing personality and is socially aware, resulting in her having many friends and is a social butterfly.[15] She has a sharp tongue[16] and talks bluntly when confronting others, even to her sisters [17]. Her rebellious attitude makes her the least cooperative girl among the sisters, making her archetype resemble that of a "tsundere".

The Yotsuba refer to Nino as a "social butterfly" and have many friends. Nino has a sharp tongue and often speaks candidly when dealing with other people, even if that person is his twin sister. He has a sociable and socially conscious personality, so he has many friends. Her rebellious attitude makes her the most uncooperative of the triplets. Nino has an aggressive nature, seen as when he confronted Fūtarō without hesitation. Despite her cold and harsh looks, Nino is actually a considerate and protective sister. This is also evident in his willingness to act as the chef in his family, and even neglect to care for his own body (cooking can smell bad, damaged nails, etc.). He also carried bandages with him wherever and whenever he went, perhaps as a precaution against the Yotsuba's always-active behavior. Despite her motherly behavior, Nino can sometimes be forgetful and afraid of needles.

Her interests seem to lie more on romance than anything else. An example is when she wanted to watch a romance movie, whilst Itsuki Nakano preferred a science documentary instead. With this is mind, she likes to openly state her feelings for Fuutarou, regardless of whether it's in front of him or her sisters.

Her personality is opposite to Miku's, making the two of them often get into petty bickering. Their dispute culminated when Nino again refused to study together with Fūtarō and his sisters. Miku asked her to stop acting like that, but Nino tore up the test paper Fūtarō had prepared. Before Miku could do anything, Itsuki slapped Nino and begged him to apologize to Fūtarō. Nino, who concludes that his sisters care more about Fūtarō than he does, runs away from their apartment. The next day, Miku and Fūtarō find Nino temporarily staying at the hotel. Although he initially refused their presence, Fūtarō's constant efforts to have a good talk with Nino were fruitful. After Fūtarō understands Nino's feelings, he disguises himself as Kintarō and plans to reveal his true identity. However, Nino tugged at the sleeves of her clothes and realized that they were the same person, while watching her homemade sleeping pills start reacting to Fūtarō and exiting the hotel. Miku visits Nino at her new hotel, and after talking about the latest incident, Nino decides to cut her hair as proof of letting go of her past to become someone new. He helped the Yotsuba who were "forced" to join the track and field club at their school by disguising themselves as himself, before making up with Itsuki. After the incident, Nino and Itsuki returned to the apartment together and returned to study together with Fūtarō towards the final exams for class promotion.

After learning that Fūtarō is stepping down as their tutor, Nino and his sisters visit the restaurant where Fūtarō works on Christmas Eve to ask him to return to tutoring. Nino later admits, that although Fūtarō's "selfish" actions irritated him at times, it inevitably forced him to continue studying. When Fūtarō accidentally falls into a river, the triplets jump in to help, though Nino himself nearly drowns before being helped by Fūtarō. This experience was repeated when they were shopping at the convenience store, when Nino's body swayed and was restrained by Fūtarō from falling. This small incident made Nino feel something strange in his heart, but he didn't accept the feeling and thought that he still couldn't forget Kintarō. While taking his final exams, Nino tries his best to deny his feelings for Fūtarō. He then passes the exam and goes to his adoptive father — Maruo Nakano, to tell them that the five of them are determined to live independently. Maruo rejected the idea and asked them to return to the apartment. Fūtarō then arrives to pick up Nino to celebrate the five of them success in the exam. On his way back to the restaurant Fūtarō works for, Nino realizes his true feelings, and confesses his feelings for Fūtarō.

She has poor eyesight, needing contact lenses for her daily activities.[24] An example is when she is incapable of recognizing Fuutarou Uesugi in a simple wig, implying her oblivious side.[25] However, this is possibly due to darker surroundings and her infatuation towards him being blonde.

When he first met Fūtarō, Nino viewed him as a "stupid looking man". He said that the reason he hated Fūtarō, was because he thought their apartment was only there for the five of them. When she was involved in a minor "incident" with Fūtarō, Nino tried to frame her by telling her sisters about it, even though the outcome was not what she wanted. Fūtarō later found Nino alone in front of the apartment, and — after talking to him — concluded that Nino was actually very protective and caring about his sisters. Despite this, Nino decided that he would never accept Fūtarō in his life. Due to an incident, Fūtarō's student handbook is in Nino's hands, and Nino will only return it if Fūtarō helps him put in the earrings. Before Fūtarō was finished, Nino kicked him in the leg and caused Fūtarō's student handbook to fall, showing a photo of Fūtarō's blonde hair. Nino said that the blonde boy is her ideal type of guy. Fūtarō does not reveal that the blonde haired child is himself, and pretends the child is a relative. Approaching the midterm exams, Nino and Itsuki still don't want to join to study with Fūtarō and the others. Nino (who pretends to be Itsuki) is delighted to learn that Fūtarō will be fired by his father if one of the triplets fails the exam. However, when the triplets are proven to have failed the exam, Nino actually "protects" Fūtarō by telling his father that they passed the exam — even though technically they only passed one different subject — and prevented Fūtarō from being fired.
